Dr. Keisha Hawkins – Managing DVM

Dr. Keisha Hawkins joined the Kenmore Team in February 2008, and became Kenmore’s Managing Veterinarian in 2013.

Graduated from the University of Illinois in 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. She then lived on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts in the West Indies while she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2007, she began her clinical year of training at the University of Missouri. After completing her training and receiving her diploma as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr Hawkins and her cat Aeronautica, packed the Jeep and moved to Buffalo, New York!

Dr. Hawkins currently sits on the board for the Western New York Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. Justina Hoerner- Associate DVM

Dr. Hoerner is a Western New York native who grew up in Cheektowaga. She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Agriculture and Life Science at Cornell University with a double major in Animal Science and Biology. After that she continued on to do a 1 year post-bachelorette program in Veterinary Medical Science at Drexel Medical. In 2012 she returned to Cornell University to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation in 2016, she returned to Buffalo to join the Kenmore Animal Hospital team.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their 14 pets. In addition to a Norwegian Elkhound, a rescue mutt, and 4 cats, she also was 5 ferrets, a chinchilla and 2 ball pythons. In her free time she enjoys canine sports, hiking, gardening, and dabbling in various crafts, including painting, sewing, and leatherworking.
